My husband has been in my shoes before and he didn’t expect me to join him when he decided to shed some of his extra pounds. I don’t think it’s fair to expect my family to eat the way I am when they don’t have extra pounds to shed. I’m starting to believe that that just may be true. I’m sure you’ve heard the saying, “nothing tastes as good as thin feels”. But then that’s what I’ve been doing for the past few years and I don’t like the results. Honestly, I wish I didn’t have to exercise or watch what I eat at all. I definitely have better endurance and finish the workout much stronger.

I sure can attest that what Jillian Michaels says is true: ” It gets easier and you gain endurance and stamina each day”. But then I felt the same way when I started level 1. You know how I don’t like to push myself. I’d love to be able to do all boys push ups!! Since this is The 30 Day Shred – and there are 3 levels – I figured on spending 10 days on each level. I’ve got everything down except the boys push ups. I did the whole Level 1 – 30 Dy Shred workout again today. Do I want to “phone it in” a little on some of the exercises in the 30 Day Shred workout? Yes. Am I still tempted to eat things I shouldn’t? Yes. Wow, confirmation that what I’ve been doing is working and is actually noticable after only 9 days! Hooray!! I know I can keep doing this.ĭo I still feel like I want to snack? Yes. So, it was such an unexpected and pleasant surprise when she said “you look like you’ve lost weight’!

I hadn’t told Robin that I had started on this journey to shed these unwanted pounds. I love that I can say “Yes” to the things I love, like good friends and good wine! She had picked up a great bottle of wine on a wine tasting tour she took while on vacation. My good friend Robin has been gone on vacation for the past week and I went to see her today to work on plans for my sisters 25th Anniversary party.
